Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire(33-2 21kos) has fought as low as 111lbs and now currently the WBA Super World 126lb Featherweight Champion. Donaire’s opponent Nicholas “Axe Man” Walters(24-0 20kos) has fought as low as 124lbs and as high as 132lbs. This will be Donaire’s biggest test on HBO Championship Boxing on October 18, 2014.

In a bizarre event. Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire(33-2 21kos) defeated Simpiwe “V12” Vetyeka(26-3 16kos) via technical decision after the 4th round on May 31, 2014 in Macao, China. Donaire was cut on the eyelid from an accidental clash of heads in the first round. The cut was serious enough to assume that Donaire had to score a quick knockout due to the severity of the cut. Vetyeka went down in the 4th round for the first time in his career.

Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire(32-2 21kos) is now fighting in the Featherweight division after losing to Guillermo “El Chacal” Rigondeaux(13-0 8kos) in April of 2013. Donaire will take on relatively unknown Simpiwe “V12” Vetyeka(26-2 16kos) for his WBA Super World Featherweight title on May 31, 2014 in The Venetian Resort Cotai Arena in Macau, China. Donaire defeated rival Vic “Raging Bull” Darchinyan(39-5-1 28kos) in his first fight at 126 in December of 2013. Darchinyan is on the undercard. Vetyeka defeated the then undefeated Chris “The Dragon” John(48-1-3 22kos) in December of 2013 as well.

On July 19, 2014 WBA & WBO 122lb Super Bantamweight Champion Guillermo “El Chacal” Rigondeaux (13-0 8kos) will fight his last bout under Bob Arum’s Top Rank Boxing Promotions. Rigondeaux will face unknown Jonathan “Salomon King” Guzman (16-0 16kos) of the Dominican Republic is Cotai Arena in Macau China. No American network will televise the fight due to Rigondeaux’s lack of appeal.
